Camping blogs that will get you excited about camping this spring.

Whatever you want to know – where to go camping, what you need to bring, or how to pitch a tent – these camping blogs have you covered. Have a look, save your favourites and brush up on your knowledge. But don’t forget, reading about camping isn’t the same as getting out there and doing it. The warmer months are just around the corner so have a look at these blogs and start planning today.

Go Camping Australia: www.gocampingaustralia.com

This is a great place to start. Started by an adventurous Australian family, this website and blog was created to share their experiences in a way that nobody else had. Their blog looks great and is easy to use and includes tips and tricks for camping and other general outdoor topics. The idea came when they couldn’t find the information they wanted online, so they kindly created a blog to share their stories for other campers out there. And the website itself has reviews on all the campsites the family has visited over the years.

ExploreOz: http://www.exploroz.com/Blogs/Camping.aspx

There’re more individual blogs here than you can shake a stick at. And the great thing is that these blogs are written by campers that are actually out and about exploring. Now many of these aren’t regularly updated so don’t expect to get your weekly fix of camping tips. But if you want to see photos of far out places and hear tales of people who are in the thick of it, this is a great site to visit.

Beyond the Tent: http://www.beyondthetent.com/

Beyond the Tent is another extremely well-presented blog from an avid camping family. And although their playground is America, there plenty of useful tips and reviews that are will useful. Scroll down to find the first three articles for new campers, fighting mosquitos, and their camping checklist. The articles on keeping bears at bay might less than useful in Australia though. Unless you love neat facts, such as apparently bears can smell seven times stronger than an average bloodhound!
