weed control sprayers

Here at Austates, we know a thing or two about sprayers, after all, weed control is our business. So when you’re looking for a weed sprayer, we’re the people to talk to. We think it’s essential to have the proper tools for the job, especially when it comes to sprayers, so we’ve put together a rundown of the different types we sell to help you choose the best sprayer for your job.

Backpack Sprayers

Our 16L battery powered knapsack sprayer is a handy tool to purchase if you have a larger property you need to spray, and weeds you specifically want to target. It’s motorised with a 12-volt rechargeable battery. This allows you to cover more area than a hand sprayer, and the pump speed controller gives you a longer battery life.

A common complaint of people who have backpack sprayers is that they’re uncomfortable to wear for extended periods of time as the shoulder straps dig in. Our backpack sprayer has straps that are padded and adjustable, so you should be able to spray for up to two hours before needing a break. If you do need to go for longer, there’s the option to turn it into a trolley sprayer.

Trolley Sprayers

We sell three different trolley sprayers, a 16L, a 20L and a 25L, all with battery operated pumps. A trolley sprayer is ideal for reducing user fatigue as you don’t have to carry it around on your back. Though some, like our 16L trolley sprayer, can be removed from the trolley and used as a backpack if you wish.

If you have a large area of ground to cover, our 20L trolley sprayer is perfect as it has large, wide wheels for easy manoeuvrability. Our 25L trolley sprayer can carry even more herbicide and gives you over 2.5 hours of spraying time. A trolley sprayer is worth the investment, as it saves your back and gets the job done quicker.

Hand Sprayers

Hand sprayers are suitable for smaller gardens and shorter bursts of spraying as they have a manually operated pump. Ones like our 3L hand sprayer or 5L hand sprayer can also be used in a commercial capacity for jobs that don’t require a huge amount of chemical coverage and that aren’t in hard-to-reach areas.

The heaviest of the bunch is the 10L hand sprayer which weighs 5 kg but is still easy enough to transport around if you’re not going too far. It offers a high volume of spraying thanks to its compressor.

Discliamer: “Please remember that any directions given on the product label of any pesticide, must always take precedence over advice given elsewhere.”
